Abstract

Background: Considering the increased activity of hippocampal glial cells due to chronic morphine administration and the involvement of hippocampus in restoration of the addictive drug-associated experience, the role of these cells on morphine induced conditioned place preference (CPP) was investigated.

Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, four groups of animals were evaluated. After habituation to CPP apparatus on the first day, conditioning was done by injection of morphine (5 mg/kg) or its vehicle (saline) during three consecutive days. On the fifth day, the time spent in each compartment of CPP cage and locomotor activity was recorded for 20 min. To investigate the role of hippocampal glial cells in CPP, these cels were inbibited by bilaterally injecting fluorocitrate (1nmol/1ml), before each morphine injection. CPP testing in this group and animals received fluorocitrate vehicle (Phosphate buffer saline) was done before morphine injection.

Results: Fluorocitrate pretreatment reduced morphine induced conditioned place preference acquisition, so that a significant decrease was observed in conditioning score (unpaired t-test, p<0.01) in this group (n=8) compared to animals received morphine (n=9). Neither morphine nor fluorocitrate pretreatment did not affect locomotor activity (ANOVA, p>0.05).

Conclusion: The results suggest that glial cells in the hippocampus are involved in morphine induced conditioned place preference.

Abstract

Background: Cardiac troponin T and creatine kinase are used as biological markers for cardiomyocytes and its levels in serum are used as indicators of myocardial cell injury. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of 3 different training protocols (runing, swimming, and pedaling training) on myocardial cell injury biomarkers in young girls.

Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental study with pretest–posttest design, ten healthy young girls (aged 23.0±1.6 y) were selected in a convenience sampling way. The subjects performed three types of exercise in 7 days interval. Blood sample was assessed before and after the exercise sessions. Data were analyzed using t-test and analysis of variance.

Results: Our results indicated that creatin kinase increased significantly after three types of exercise (p<0.05). Running exercise led to greater increase in serum creatine kinase (p<0.05). Also, troponin T levels significantly were increased after three types of exercise (p<0.05), although no significant differences were observed between exercise types (p>0.05).

Conclusion: Our data suggest that intensive exercise is associated with cardiac damage in less trained girls and the type of exercise is determinants of the magnitude of myocardial injury biomarkers release.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Specific learning disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent difficulties in learning academic skills in reading, written expression, or mathematics. This study was performed to investigate the effectiveness of memantine in the relief of cognitive deficits (selective attention, sustained attention, and working memory) in specific learning disorder.

Materials and Methods: This study is a clinical trial. Of all children 8-12 years referred to Amir Kabir Hospital 94 patients diagnosed with specific learning disorder based on DSMV diagnostic interview referred by specialist and randomly divided by two groups, memantine and placebo. Cognitive deficits before and after treatment were measured with continuous performance test, Stroop test and Wechsler Digit Span forward and reverse and Corsi test.

Results: Multivariate analysis of variance showed a significant difference in error when answering, omission answer and corrected answer in continuous performance test, but this difference is not significant in response time. Difference in forward, reverse and collected auditory was significant and not significant in the auditory span. In active visual working memory at corsi cube test, difference was significant (p <0.05).

Conclusion: The results showed that memantine in improvement of sustained attention, auditory working memory and visual working memory, is effective, while in selective attention is not effective and according to similarities of learning disorder and Attention deficit / Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and the effectiveness of memantine in improvement of symptoms of ADHD, we can also use this drug in improvement of cognitive deficits of specific learning disorder.

Abstract

Abstract
Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a myelinating inflammation and an impairment of neuronal cell regeneration in the central nervous system with unknown causes. The aim of this study was to evaluate serum melatonin levels in the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis.
Materials and Methods: A prospective study and a Cohort were conducted on 40 MS patients with multiple sclerosis patients referring to instituate MS in Arak city for one year. In this study, patients who were treated with interferon-moderating drugs and who had not been treated for more than one year were randomly selected. A questionnaire containing demographic information and clinical information and separation of interacting factors was completed and completed. Clinical information included MRI, VEP, EDSS (Expanded Disability Status Scale) score, and clinical symptoms. The patients also received peripheral blood samplers 3 times in 6 months intervals to measure melatonin and their melatonin levels, and then the relationship between the data obtained from the patient's clinical data, EDSS, serum melatonin levels using the software SPSS with ANOVA and Post-hoc statistical analyzed.
Results: In patients with MS, in spite of receiving drug treatment, the level of melatonin as an antioxidant decreased in second order sampling, which is consistent with the deterioration of the patient's clinical condition (EDSS test), and this is not observed in the control group.
Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, it can be argued that the level of melatonin is a measurable objective and measurable variable (with the help of ELISA) that can be used in the follow-up of these patients, along with clinical evaluations and questionnaires.

Abstract

Abstract
Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. It has been proven the association of cause of this disease with changes in several genes. One of the pathways associated with breast cancer is the folate reuptake pathway. The key enzyme of this pathway is coded by the TYMS gene. MicroRNAs control the expression of genes by binding to their regulatory regions. In this study, we evaluated changes in the regulatory region of TYMS gene with demographic characteristics (including the grade of cancer and metastasis) in breast cancer patients.
Materials and Methods: In this study, the regulatory region of TYMS gene was investigated using related bioinformatics software. After collecting cancerous samples and DNA extraction from blood samples of normal and patients, change in the miRNA binding region by digestion with NlaIII enzyme was assayed.
Results: Bioinformatics studies showed that the restriction site of some of the endonuclease enzymes in the 3'-UTR of the TYMS gene is related to the binding region of miRNAs, including Hsa-miR-433-3p. The results indicated the correctness of the genomic purification process, the PCR and enzymatic digestion reaction. In this study, in the regulatory region, CC homozygote, AC heterozygote and AA mutant homozygote variant had differences with control group (OR: 1.3465, %95 CI: 0.7275 to 2.4923, p<0.05). Also, the association of AA genotypes with metastasis and high grade of the patients was confirmed statistically.
Conclusion: Studies have shown that some of polymorphisms in the key genes involved in cancer are directly related to their diagnosis and treatment process, and given the importance of timely diagnosis of cancer, the achievement of diagnostic biomarkers in breast cancer in the early stages will be important. Probably, the nucleotide change at the site of the microRNA binding site could be used as a diagnostic biomarker for degree of tumor progression.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Ziehl Nelson staining, fluorescent and also culture are the standard methods for the diagnosis of tuberculosis. In this study, the performance of conventional cultivation methods was compared with Flash PCR.
Materials and Methods: A total of 56 sputum samples from patients with suspected tuberculosis in Tuberculosis Center of Arak city were collected and Ziehl–Neelsen and culture in Löwenstein–Jensen medium were accomplished. Moreover, DNA from all of the 56 sputum samples was extracted by Chelex100 method. Molecular evaluation was accomplished by Flash PCR kit containing probes and primers for gene amplification IS6110. Positive and negative controls together with samples were used in a MTC410 apparatus for amplification. FD-12 apparatus was used to evaluate the results. In addition, electrophoresis on agarose was used for confirmation of the results.
Findings: From 56 sputum samples of suspected TB patients, 20 samples were positive and 36 samples were negative on microscopic evaluation and culture methods. FLASH-PCR molecular analysis showed that all of 20 positive samples were positive in molecular methods, too. On the other hand, three of sputum samples that were negative by culture and staining were positive in FLASH-PCR method. One of these 3 patients, received Isoniazid, pyrazinamide and ethambutol antibiotic by responsible medicine. All results were confirmed using conventional electrophoresis.
Conclusion: In some negative samples, possibly because of the small number of bacteria in sample or a defect in the sampling, the Flash PCR may due good advantages. Therefore, due to the low cost, this method is recommended for routine use.

Abstract

Cancer is a multifactorial Disorder caused by variations in multiple genes coupled with environmental risk factors. The genes involved in the carcinogenesis can be classified into several groups, including proto-oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes, genes involved in genome stability and cell migration. The accumulations of genetic changes lead to tumor mass and formation of new blood vessels to grow. The tumor is not a collection of single cells and has bilateral interactions with its environments. The tumor microenvironment (TME) has a similar function to stem cells niches that affect tumor progression and metastasis. The study of this environment is effective in diagnosis and treatment of cancer and provides valuable and new information for controlling tumor malignancy and risk assessment (1). This paper focuses on TME components and the molecular targets for cancer treatment. Investigating of TME by cellular and molecular profiles indicated that there are different types of cells in this environment that promote neoplastic changes and metastasis and protect the tumor from the immune system and lead to resistance to treatment (2). Among the different types of cells present in the TME, including parenchymal tumor, fibroblasts, epithelial and inflammatory cells, extracellular matrix and signaling molecules, blood and lymph vessels, the highest number of cells are fibroblasts. In the early stages of carcinogenesis, normal fibroblasts prevent tumor growth. The genetic changes of these cells, with the help of inflammatory agents, release the growth factors that directly inhibit tumor-stimulating cells or indirectly inhibit apoptosis by stimulating growth and inducing angiogenesis. Therefore, a complex system of interactions is created by the involvement of a variety of cellular factors and molecular signals (3,4). Within the TME infrastructure, there are interactions of tumor cells with extracellular matrix (ECM), tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and endothelial cells (EC). These communications have been established with the help of chemokines, growth factors, matrix metalloprotezes (MMPs) and ECM proteins, that lead to migration, invasion to distant organs and metastasis (5). TME restores tissue and induces metabolic changes in the tumor by making changes in the stromal and immune cells. This remodeling in a TME is similar to around of scar surrounded by different cells (6). Based on tissue type’s cancers, more than 40% of the CAFs can be derived from bone marrow progenitors that are recruited to the growing TME. Although CAFs may also be derived of epithelial cancer cells or stained fibroblasts that differentiate into myofibroblasts. In epithelial tumors, fibroblasts, mainly through the secretion of growth factors and chemokines, led to an altered ECM, and increase signals of proliferation and metastasis, and ultimately lead to tumor progression (7). The ECM also accumulated a scaffold of inflammatory and immune cells, lymph and nerve arteries. In general, in the metastatic phenomenon, the invasive tumors should be able to move, to break up the extracellular matrix of the tissue, to form new blood vessels, to survive in the blood and to stabilize in a new tissue environment. In studies that have been conducted to understand how these capabilities are achieved in cancer cells, TME has been identified as critical to the development of this phenomenon. TME stabilizes invasion of tumor to distant organs via signals to stromal or non-malignant cells and activation of transcription of genes (8,9). Also, angiogenesis precursor cells that are recruited to TME under hypoxic conditions are associated with metastasis. Some studies have shown that miRNA molecules are the main regulator of this activity, leading to changes in fibroblasts in the TME. MiR-21, miR-31, miR-214 and miR-155 play an important role in differentiation of normal fibroblasts to CAF (10). Although miRNAs in TME have not yet been fully identified, some studies indicated that miRNAs produced by TME cells and specially CAFs affect on tumor growth (11). Musumeci and colleagues showed the role of miRNAs in TME in prostate cancer. Their study found that expression of miR-15a and miR-16 down-regulated in fibroblasts of TME in prostate cancer. MiRNAs target oncogenes such as Bcl-2 and WNT pathway components (12). Several strategies have been proposed to remodel TME components in cancer treatment (2). Blocking the recruitment and activation of stromal cells in TME is one of these molecular approaches. Based on this strategy, Avastin has been designed to treat clone and glioblastoma cancer. Some drugs also block the interaction between the TME cells with the tumor and angiogenesis, ECM and inflammatory compounds in TME. Siltuximab is a human anti-IL-6 antibody that inhibits the pathway of IL-6 / STAT3 in cancer cells and its therapeutic effects have been reported in xenografet models. The effect of this drug in the Phase II clinical trials in platinuim-resistant ovarian cancer is under survey. More accurate identification of gene networks and cell pathways will help us improve our understanding of the pathogenesis of cancer and the advancement of therapeutic approaches. Therefore, in addition to controlling the signaling pathway inside the tumor, it is also necessary to identify the TME. Although, despite the recognition of the importance of TME in carcinogenesis, due to the multiplicity of involved cells, the origin of molecular mutations in its components is still not fully detected and requires extensive research in this area.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Cancer is the second cause of death in children under fourteen years old. The aim of this study was to determine the epidemiology and predisposing factors of childhood cancers.
Materials and Methods: This observational-descriptive study was performed on 82 children in the oncology department of Amir-kabir Hospital in Arak who were referred between 2011 and 2016. Data on age, sex, type of malignancy and predisposing factors were carried out by person interviews or patient records and were registered in checklist and analyzed.
Ethical Considerations: This study with research ethics code IR.ARAKMU.REC.2.46.87 has been approved by research ethics committee at Arak University of Medical Sciences.
Findings: The results showed that 56.1 percentage of patients were aged 0-5 years, 74.1 percentage were urban, 90.2 percentage were alive, 99 percentage were singleton, 92.7 percentage full term, 46.3 percentage of them were the first children and 87.9% of them had birth weight over 2500 g. There was no significant relationship between the delivery method and delivery problems, the sex of the patients, the environmental factors (such as consuming canned food, sausages, insecticide use, drug use during pregnancy and the rate of infectious diseases), However, there was a direct relationship between the increased age of parents and the high socioeconomic level with the risk of cancer.
Conclusion: The risk of childhood cancers in Markazi province is more related to genetic factors and the environmental factors causing cancers in children are less involved in this study.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Sicne in many dosimetry calculations, the water and soft tissue phantoms are used, this study aimed to investigate the difference of these two phantoms with a phantom consisted of realistic liver materials in proton therapy for liver cancer.
Methods & Materials: Three phantoms with different materials of water, soft tissue and realistic liver materials were used for the study. A spherical tumor with 2 cm radius was considered in the liver. The Spread-out Bragg Peaks (SOBPs) were measured to cover the complete tumor for the three phantoms. Dose distribution and deposited dose ratio in tumor and surrounding organs were calculated using Monte Carlo N-Particle Extended (MCNPX) code. 
Ethical Considerations: The best proton energy interval to complete the coverage of tumor in the liver for phantoms with realistic and soft tissue materials was 90-120 MeV and for water phantom, it was 88-116 MeV. The shift of the Bragg peaks depth per energy in the water phantom mm relative to two other phantoms was about 4.5. The dose parameters were evaluated according to the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU), and the results showed no any significant difference between them. The dose distribution in the tumor and surrounding organs showed that for all three phantoms, the dose distribution around the tumor was negligible.
Results: The use of soft tissue phantom has more acceptable results than water phantom in simulating treatment and can be replaced with realistic liver tissue. More realistic phantoms should be used in treatment plan.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Adolescent students are at high risk for substance abuse. The tendency to substance abuse in students is of significant importance. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between the tendency to substance abuse based on resilience and procrastination in high school students.
Methods & Materials: This was a cross-sectional and correlational study. The statistical population consisted of high-school male students in district 12 of Tehran City, Iran, in the academic year of 2017-2018. The statistical sample consisted of 149 individuals who were selected using a multistage cluster sampling technique. The data collection instruments were Conner and Davidson’s Persistence Questionnaire (2003), Solomon and Roth Blum (1984), and Golparvar Substance Abuse Tendency Questionnaire (2003). Pearson’s correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used for data analysis.
Ethical Considerations: This study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Kharazmi University (Code: IR.KHU.REC1397.29).
Results: The current study results suggested a significant relationship between resilience and the tendency to substance abuse (P<0.05). There was a significant and positive relationship between academic procrastination and the tendency to substance abuse (P<0.05) in the study samples. Academic resilience and procrastination could explain 54% of the variance in substance abuse tendency in the investigated adolescents. Resiliency (-0.556) and academic procrastination (-0.436) played a significant role in predicting the tendency of substance abuse in adolescents.
Conclusion: Academic resilience and procrastination predicted a tendency for substance abuse in secondary school students. Therefore, these risk factors need to be considered in preventive measures and interventions for this age group.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Staphylococcus aureus is common pathogens of nosocomial infections. Nasal swabs in hospital staff is main sources of hospital infections are considered. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of nasopharyngeal carriers of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and microbial contamination of health care workers' cell phones in Emergency department of Vali-e-Asr Hospital in Arak City.
Methods & Materials: In this descriptive study, nose swabs and cell phone levels were taken from 70 health care workers in the emergency ward of Vali-e-Asr Hospital. The Staphylococcus aureus clinical isolates were identified using standard microbiological methods (catalase, coagulase, mannitol fermentation and DNase). The susceptibility to oxacillin and cefoxitin was detected by the disk diffusion and the mecA genes in this clinically isolated strain of staphylococci was investigated by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
Ethical Considerations: This study was approved by the Research Ethics committee of Arak University of Medical Sciences. (Code : IR.ARAKMU.REC.1396.282).
Results: According the results, Staphylococcus aureus was isolated in 16 cases, which 5 cases were methicillin-sensitive S. aureus (MSSA), and 11 cases were Methicillin resistant S. aureus (MRSA). Also, 3 cell phones were infected with Staphylococcus aureus, which 1 case was MRSA and 2 cases were MSSA.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that frequency of MSSA strains is significant in emergency personnel of the hospital. Thus, regarding to the risk of epidemics due to nosocomial infections, periodic testing for the identification and treatment of carriers among employees for controlling and preventing hospital infections seems necessary.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), as a viral disease, has increasingly highlighted the need for lifelong exercise due to its immunological and physiological effects is necessary on health. In this review study, while examining the effects of moderate-intensity exercise on the physiological and immunological responses associated with COVID-19, appropriate exercise patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic are presented.
Methods & Materials: In this study, the search was conducted in Web of Science, Scopus, ISC, PubMed, Google Scholar, MagIran, and Noor databases on related articles using the following keywords: coronavirus, COVID-19, exercise and coronavirus, exercise and immune system, high-intensity exercise and immune system.
Ethical Considerations: All ethical principles in writing this article have been observed according to the instructions of the National Ethics Committee and the COPE regulations.
Results: Moderate-intensity exercise can help boost the function of the immune system. On the other hand, high-intensity exercise can have negative effects on the immune system, which can be a bad strategy increasing the risk of infectious diseases.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The quality of sexual satisfaction of couples plays an essential role in marital dissatisfaction; therefore, sexual satisfaction training can be effective in reducing this marital problem. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of sexual satisfaction model training on reducing couples’ distress among couples referring to counseling centers.
Methods & Materials: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest and a control group design. The statistical population of the study included all couples referring to counseling centers in Sanandaj City, in the academic year of 2019-2020. The instruments used in this research were Couple Burnout Measure (CBM). After selecting the sample and randomly forming two groups of 30 experimental and control groups, a pretest was conducted on the study groups. The researcher provided eight 90-minutes training sessions to the experimental group as a model of sexual satisfaction. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS.
Ethical Considerations: This study was approved by Ethics Committee of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences (Code: IR.MUK.REC.1397.5037). 
Results: The current research results revealed a significant difference (P≤0.001) between the experimental and control groups concerning marital boredom (F=35.581) and its dimensions, including physical fatigue (F=25.074), emotional exhaustion (F=39.031), and mental exhaustion (F=35.020); the effect of the educational program was equal to 0.42, 0.31, 0.41, and 0.39, respectively.
Conclusion: The present study findings indicated that sex education model training was effective in reducing couples’ referrals to counseling centers.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The success of endodontic treatment depends on the complete elimination of pathogenic bacteria inside the root canal. Enterococcus faecalis, a gram-positive, pathogenic, and anaerobic cocci, are the primary etiology of root canal infection in treated and untreated teeth and are highly associated with endodontic treatment failure. This study aimed to compare the antimicrobial activity of Sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, microemulsion of Myrtus 10%, and microemulsion of Thyme 0.6% on the E. faecalis after root canal filling.
Methods & Materials:  In this experimental study, 25 extracted single canal human anterior teeth were collected, and their crowns were cut. Then after washing and cleaning, and filling, the sterilization was done using an autoclave. Then, except 5 teeth (negative control group), the teeth were smeared with E. faecalis and then divided into 5 groups randomly represented the irrigation by Sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, microemulsion of Myrtus 10%, and microemulsion of Thyme 0.6%, with a positive control group and negative control group. The teeth were filled with gutta-percha and then incubated in an incubator for 90 days at a temperature of 37°C. Finally, the comparison of CFU in the groups due to abnormal data distribution was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test.
Ethical Considerations: The Ethics Committee of Arak University of Medical Sciences approved this study (Code: IR.ARAKMU.REC.1398.297).
Results: According to the results of this study, the correlation between the groups of cultured teeth was not significant(P>0.05). The specimens washed with microemulsion of the Thyme 0.6% had the highest positive number of cultures; the specimens washed by Sodium hypochlorite 2.5% had the lowest number of cultures.
Conclusion: This study showed that no statistically significant difference exists in their antimicrobial activity after root canal therapy after the use of different wash solutions.

Abstract

Background & Aim: Infertility is defined as inability to become pregnant with regular sexual intercourse for more than one year without using preventive methods. Infertility has negative effects on the quality of life of infertile couples. this thesis was done with the purpose of investigating the effecte of infertility counseling to improve the quality of life among infertile couples
Materials and Methods: This randomized clinical trial was carried out on sixty infertile couples with primary infertility in2017. Samples were allocated to an intervention (30 couples) and a control group (30 couples) by simple randomization. Even days of the first week, the intervention group and in the odd days, control group samples were selected, and the opposite was done in the following week. The intervention group received infertility counseling for six forty-five-minute sessions twice a week. However, control group received routine care. FertiQoL questionnaire was completed before and after intervention. For data analysis SPSS 19 software and Paired T-Test statistical tests , Mann-Whitney and Chi-Square Test, were used.
Ethical Considerations: Ethical code is IR.KMU.REC.1395.678  in Kerman University of Medical Sciences
Findings: Comparison of the differences between the mean of quality of life in the intervention and control groups before counseling and after counseling indicated  that infertility counseling increased Meaningful quality of life in the intervention group (p <0.0001) 
Conclusion: The results indicated infertility counseling can improve the quality of life among infertile couples. Therefore, it can lead to more satisfaction and cooperation in infertility treatment.

Abstract

Background and Aim The occupational environment, the type of work overload or underload, physical risks, how individuals adapt to the workplace, and face the family - work constitute the sources of stress or occupational distress. Job stress emerges as the duties and tasks assigned to people are more than their abilities. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between stress management training and work ethics of employees.
Methods & Materials This research was an applied study in terms of purpose, a mixed exploratory (qualitative and quantitative) study in terms of data, a content analysis (qualitative stage) and  cross-sectional survey (quantitative stage) in term of conduct. The study population in the qualitative section comprised experts (Experts in Psychology, Educational Management, and Social Medicine) according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In the qualitative section, the study population included experts and managers who had received stress management training. Sample size and sampling method in qualitative part was based on the principle of theoretical saturation, resulting in 12 people using purposive sampling method. In the quantitative part, the sampling was based on the Cochran’s formula, resulting in 220 people who were selected using cluster sampling method. 
Ethical Considerations This barcode research was presented to the Ethics Committee and registered in the system (IR.IAU.TNB.REC.1400.121). 
Results The results showed that to deal with stressful situations, three basic strategies of event-focused coping, anxiety-focused coping, and avoidance-focused coping strategies can be used for stress management training models. Overall, the components presented for coping with stressful conditions have the necessary and appropriate validities. All three main coping strategies (event-focused, anxiety-focused, and refusal-focused) are suitable for explaining and fitting. So, they all are reliable and confirmed in the current research questionnaire of coping with stress.
 Conclusion Strategies for coping with stressful situations have a different effect on people’s professional work ethics so that the event-focused coping strategy has a significant positive relationship with professional ethics. On the other hand, the anxiety-focused and avoidance-focused coping strategies have negative and decreasing relationship with professional ethics. The more emphasis on the event-focused coping strategy, the more would be the professional ethics of individuals and the more emphasis on the anxiety-focused and avoidance-focused coping strategies, the less would be the professional ethics of individuals..

Abstract

Background and Aim Surface display technology enables the binding of proteins and peptides to the surface of living cells, including mammalian cells, yeast, bacteria, and spores. Among the various systems used for surface display, Bacillus subtilis spores have advantages such as resistance to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, radiation and chemicals, safety for humans and no need for the heterologous protein to pass the membranes for binding to spores. 
Methods & Materials This study is a review that investigates the structure of the Bacillus subtilis spore, spore surface display, and its application in the development of mucosal vaccines and adjuvants.
Ethical Considerations All Ethical principles in writing this article have been observed according to the instructions of the National Ethics Committee and the COPE regulations.
Results Heterologous proteins can be displayed genetically and non-genetically on the spore surface. The surface display is a promising strategy for the development of whole-cell factories with many industrial and biotechnological applications, leading to significant advances in the production of biocatalysts, the development of live vaccines, bio-adsorbents and sensors, epitope mapping, inhibitor design, and protein/peptide library screening. 
Conclusion It is hoped that oral vaccines of Bacillus subtilis spores will be of significant help in the prevention and treatment of diseases including COVID-19 in the future.

Abstract

Background and aim: It is suggested that hearing impaired children with hearing aids and cochlear implant, showed poor pragmatic abilities. Pragmatic is the most related language component to social interaction. Further, it has effect on personality development and self-esteem. The main aim of the present study is investigating the relationship between pragmatic abilities and self-esteem in hearing impaired children.  
Materials and methods: Sixty hearing impaired children with hearing aids or cochlear implant were included into this study according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then parents or other caregivers were asked to fulfill Children’s Communication Checklist (CCC) and self-esteem questionnaire. The participants were divided into three groups based on hearing impairment severity, including: severe, moderate and mild. The relationship between pragmatic ability and self-esteem was examined in three groups and without considering categorization, by Pearson correlation coefficient, significant level was 0.05.
Ethical considerations: This project is approved in Arak university of medical sciences with ethical registration code IR.ARAKMU.REC.1399.150. All parents gave written informed consent form.
Findings: the results illustrated that there is significant relationship between pragmatic abilities and self-esteem in all hearing impairment children without considering categorization (p<0.05). By considering categorization, significant relationship was showed in self-esteem and pragmatic abilities in moderate and mild groups (p<0.05).
Conclusion: according to our analysis, pragmatic abilities and self-esteem are related. This relationship is more obvious in low severity impairment.

Abstract

Introduction: Performing aerobic exercise programs during pregnancy will have positive effects on various characteristics related to the health of mother and children. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of aerobic activity of the mother during pregnancy on the levels of leptin hormone in the blood serum of adult rats.
Methods: This research is of an experimental type with a post-test design with a control group, including 20 female rats with an average age of 8 weeks, randomly divided into two training (T) (221 ± 8.9 grams) and control (C). (223±12.8 grams) groups. Pregnancy sports activity was performed immediately after the observation of vaginal plaque for 21 days and for 5 sessions per week with moderate intensity on the treadmill, and it was terminated 2 days before delivery. The comparison of leptin hormone level in two control and exercise groups was analyzed using independent t-test in 8-week-old mice at a significant level of P≥0.05.
Ethical considerations: This study was an experimental and interventional type, and the ethical standards in maintaining and conducting experiments are in accordance with the ethics code of this study (IR.QUMS.REC.1396.288) which has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Basic Sciences of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.
Results: The amount of leptin hormone (p=0.002) in adult rats whose mothers had exercised during pregnancy was significantly lower than the control group, the weight of food consumed by the mother in the last weeks of pregnancy in the group training was less than the control group and the weight of the adult rats in the training group was less than the control group.
Conclusions: It seems that sports activity during pregnancy can have positive effects on weight control and prevention of obesity in adult children.

Abstract

Introduction: Considering the destructive effects of the prevalence of infectious diseases such as Covid-19 and the resulting social crisis on physical and mental health, a leading study was conducted to investigate Pattern of structural relationships of Covid-19 epidemic anxiety based on self-control mediated by emotional resilience.
Methods: The method of this research was descriptive-correlational and the statistical population of the present study included all students of Mohaghegh University in the academic year 2021-2022. Corona, resilience, completed the self-control questionnaire. Pearson correlation coefficient tests and structural equation modeling using Spss.25 and Lisrel 8.8 software were used to analyze the data.
Ethic: This research has been approved by the ethics code IR.ARUMS.REC.1400.045 in the ethics committee of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences.
Results: The results showed that coronary anxiety was negatively associated with self-control and emotional resilience. Emotional resilience is also positively associated with self-control. Model fit indices also confirmed the path of self-control over coronary anxiety mediated by emotional resilience.
Conclusions: According to the results of the current study, psychiatric clinics, counseling centers and health networks can use the findings of the research in the field of mental health and to face the covid-19 epidemic.
