Abstract
Introduction: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most important and common infections in children. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of qnrB and qnrS genes in Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from urinary tract infections of children in 17 Shahrivar Hospital in Rasht.
Materials and methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 49 strains of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated from 17 Shahrivar Hospital in Rasht and identified using biochemical methods. Sensitivity and resistance of strains to antibiotics were determined by Kirby Bohr and dilution broth methods. PCR method was used to evaluate the frequency of qnrS and qnrB genes in isolates.
Results: In this study, the highest resistance was observed in piperacillin (81.5%) and cefazolin (88.9%) isolates from Escherichia coli and in Klebsiella pneumoniae (cefazolin (90.9%) and amoxicillin (95.5%) isolates from 49 Isolated, 73.4% had qnrB gene and 97.9% had qnrS gene.
Conclusion: It seems that one of the reasons for increasing multidrug resistance in hospital isolates of urinary tract infection (UTI) in Rasht is the increased transfer of plasmid genes between these isolates.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by loss of memory and multiple cognitive impairments.
Materials and Methods: In this study, key terms were searched in reputable Persian and English databases including DOAJ, PubMed, Google Scholar, LISTA (EBSCO), Embase, and Web of Science. Articles focusing on the molecular basis and pathogenesis of the disease, as well as biomarkers for Alzheimer's diagnosis, were reviewed. In this article, we have attempted a comprehensive review not only of the molecular basis of Alzheimer's disease from a molecular medical perspective but also to address numerous molecular diagnostic methods and biomarkers at both clinical and research levels in this disease.
Ethical Considerations: All Ethical principles in writing this article have principles been observed according to the instructions of National Ethics Committee and the COPE regulations
Findings: The results of this review study indicate that the major factors involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's include beta-amyloid peptides, hyperphosphorylation of tau protein, and activation of inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways. Subsequently, this leads to synaptic loss, mitochondrial dysfunction, and proliferation of activated astrocytes and microglia, which are clinically manifested as memory loss in patients."
Conclusion: Although no precise diagnostic method exists for AD, current clinical recommendations for AD diagnosis include assessing tau protein and beta-amyloid (Aβ) peptides in cerebrospinal fluid, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for brain volume, and positron emission tomography (PET) scanning for Aβ plaques and/or glucose metabolism in the brain.

Abstract
On average, patients suffering from non-alcoholic steatohepatitis after about seven years, their disease turns into fibrosis and reversibility at this stage becomes very difficult because this disease is an irreversible stage of the disease. Fatty liver is non-alcoholic (2). Researches have come to the conclusion that liver inflammation and insulin resistance decrease and insulin sensitivity increases with sports activity (3). TNF-α has a high inflammatory effect; So that different agents and species of this family and their receptors play a role in NASH disease and liver fibrosis (5). However, exercise increases prostaglandins and cAMP. The mentioned hormones inhibit the function of TNF-α (6). On the other hand, anti-inflammatory cytokines increase due to exercise and inhibit the increase of TNF-α. With the increase in production and secretion of TNF-α, other inflammatory factors such as TGF-β1 signaling are activated and fibrosis signaling will start in liver cells (5). TGF-β1 (Transforming growth factor beta 1) is one of the members of the large family of transforming growth factors beta (TGF-β) and a key cytokine in obesity and insulin resistance (7). In a research, during 48 weeks of applying a high-fat diet to rats, they found that steatosis occurs in the liver of rats from the eighth week onwards, and the amount of TGF-β1 in them increased significantly. In the end, they came to the conclusion that this factor can be one of the main characteristics of determining the degree of liver fibrosis in patients with NASH (10). High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is one of the new training models whose positive effects have been identified in a variety of metabolic diseases (13). On the other hand, there are very few researches about the effect of aquatic environment and swimming on the improvement of metabolism and inflammation in NASH patients. Based on the results of a systematic review in 2018, it was shown that endurance exercise in water improved systemic inflammation and weight control (18). Despite the conflicting results in this field and the beneficial effects of exercise in water and also human's innate interest in water, the effect of high-intensity interval exercise in water in patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis has not been observed by the researchers of this study. Therefore, the effect of eight weeks of high-intensity interval training in water on inflammatory factors in patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis was investigated.
Materials and methods
In this study, eight-week-old rats were divided into two groups: healthy (n=20) and high-fat diet (HFD) (n=20). After eight weeks and proof of disease induction, the HFD group was randomly divided into two groups: control-disease (n=9) and exercise-disease (n=9); Also, the healthy group was divided into two groups: control-healthy (n=9) and exercise-healthy (n=9). The rats in the training group performed HIIT swimming training, including 20 times of 30 seconds of swimming with 30 seconds of rest between each time, for eight weeks (three days a week). One-way ANOVA and Bonferroni's post hoc test (P<0.05) were used to determine the difference between groups.
Ethical Considerations
The proposal of this study has been approved by the Ethics Committee of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (IR.SUMS.REHAB.REC.1400.008).
Findings:
As shown in diagram 1; Based on the results of the one-way analysis of variance test, it can be said that there was a significant difference between the mean TNF-α blood serum (P=0.001). According to the results of Bonferroni's post hoc test, these differences in blood serum TNF-α variable between the control-healthy and control-disease groups (P=0.001), exercise-disease (P=0.001) and exercise-healthy (P=0.002), control-disease with exercise-disease (P=0.012) and exercise-healthy (P=0.001), exercise-healthy with exercise-disease (P=0.002) was.
According to graph 2, it can be seen that there is no significant difference in TGFβ1 variable in all four groups (p=0.068). However, by comparing the averages, it is found that the amount of TGFβ1 protein has decreased by 49.1968% in the patient-exercise group after high-intensity intermittent swimming exercise compared to the control-patient group. Meanwhile, this protein in the exercise-healthy group was reduced by 45.2741% compared to the control-patient. Figure 1 shows the protein bands related to TGFβ1 protein.
Discussion and conclusion: The results of the present research showed that high-intensity intermittent swimming exercises reduce inflammatory and fibrotic factors, and in general, it can be concluded that eight weeks of high-intensity intermittent swimming exercises improve the inflammatory and fibrotic factors associated with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. . However, to obtain a definitive result, this type of exercise should be studied in human studies in this patient community.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Diabetes is a type of metabolic disease and one of the most common endocrine diseases. Oxidative stress and inflammation play an important role in the development and progression of diabetes. mTOR signaling pathway play an important role in glucose homeostasis and proliferation of pancreatic beta cells. In the present study, the therapeutic effects of p-cymene on oxidative stress markers and expression of the mTOR gene in diabetic male Wistar rats were investigated.
Materials and Methods: Diabetes was induced by injecting 55 mg/kg body weight of streptozotocin. Biochemical analyses of pancreatic tissue and real-time PCR were done to investigate the effects of metformin (55 mg/kg body weight) and p-cymene (25, 50, and 100 mg/kg body weight) on the activities of catalase and glutathione peroxidase enzymes and mTOR gene expression.
Findings: Streptozotocin decreased catalase and glutathione peroxidase enzymes and decreased the expression of the mTOR gene in pancreatic tissue. Treatment with metformin or p-cymene improved the activities of catalase and glutathione peroxidase enzymes and the expression of the mTOR gene in a dose-independent manner.
Conclusion: Results indicate that p-cymene has antioxidant properties and can regulate the mTOR signaling pathway. Therefore, p-cymene may be effective for the treatment of diabetes alone or in combination with metformin.

Abstract
Introduction: Nowadays, due to the increasing spread of electronic devices and digital transmitters, the general public is exposed to electromagnetic waves with different wavelengths. According to the function of the thyroid gland on the metabolic actions of the body, the purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in the serum level of thyroid stimulating hormone after receiving short-term and long-term electromagnetic waves emitted from home Wi-Fi.
Methods: 60 rats in the weight range of 250-300 grams were randomly divided into 3 equal groups. The first group did not receive any waves. The second group was placed near Irancell's portable Wi-Fi device for 10 days,1 hour a day, and the third group was near Wi-Fi waves for 3 hours a day for a month. After one month, blood was taken from the mice and the serum level of thyroid stimulating hormone was measured.
Results: The data analysis showed that the serum level of thyroid stimulating hormone in the group that was exposed to medium-term Wi-Fi waves was significantly different from the control group, but the level of this hormone in the group that was exposed to the waves for a short period of time, it was not significant in comparison with the control group.
Conclusions: According to the present results, it is possible that electromagnetic waves lead to hormonal disorders in the body, and one of these disorders can be a change in the amount of thyroid stimulating hormone.

Abstract
Introduction: This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of combined treatment based on virtual reality and mindfulness on cortisol levels in individuals with generalized anxiety disorder.
Methods: The study employed a semi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test control group and a two-month follow-up period. The study population included all individuals with symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder who referred to the clinics of the Psychological Services Center and Counseling in Region 3, the Counseling and Psychological Services Center of Welfare in Region 6, and the Aryaz Counseling and Psychological Services of Region 6, Tehran, from April 2022 to the end of autumn 2022.
Results: The sample consisted of 30 individuals (10 males and 20 females) with generalized anxiety disorder, selected purposefully and randomly assigned to a treatment group based on virtual reality and mindfulness (15 individuals) and a control group (15 individuals). Pre-test, post-test, and follow-up cortisol levels were measured, and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) was used as the entry criterion. Subsequently, the experimental group received an eight-session, 17-minute weekly treatment based on virtual reality and mindfulness. Participants in this group, while immersed in a virtual environment, watched 360-degree virtual reality videos, "Walking by the Beach" and "Pebbles in the Lake," accompanied by mindfulness audio contemplation, "Being Present and Breathing," and "Wise Mind," using a VR headset and VR-ARBOX. The control group received no treatment.
Conclusions: After completing the interventions, post-tests and two-month follow-ups were conducted. The data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) with SPSS23 software, revealing that the combined treatment based on virtual reality and mindfulness was effective in reducing cortisol levels. It is suggested that this combined method is used as a clinical intervention in order to reduce the level of anxiety and cortisol of people suffering from generalized anxiety disorder alone or along with other psychological and pharmaceutical interventions.

Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive and debilitating condition. People with COPD often experience exacerbations that may require hospitalization. Pattern analysis of respiratory variability can provide valuable insights into the complexity of the respiratory control system. Therefore, this study investigated respiratory pattern variability during stable and exacerbation phases in patients with COPD.
We analyzed respiratory signal data from 14 patients with COPD during exacerbations and stable phases and compared them with 12 age- and sex-matched control subjects. Respiratory pattern variability analysis of 30-minute inter-breath intervals (IBI) time series was performed using sample entropy and Detrended Fluctuation Analysis.
Sample entropy analysis of the IBI revealed that respiratory variability was more regular during both stable and exacerbation phases in patients with COPD. Also, the short-term (α1) and long-term fractal-like correlation (α2) significantly decreased during both exacerbation and stable phases compared to healthy controls.
The respiratory control system in patients with COPD shows less variability (lower entropy and fractal correlation). This reduction in respiratory signal variability indices in COPD patients is still lower than in healthy people, even when their disease status is stabilized.

Abstract
Introduction: Fasciolosis is one of the most important parasitic disease common among both humans and livestock. That causes several health problems and economical losses in different parts of Iran. In order to control this disease, chemicals are used, which in some cases lead to resistance to the used substances and cause environmental problems. In this study, the effectiveness of the ethanolic extract of Lippia citriodora on the eggs of Fasciola hepatica is investigated.
Methods: Fasciola hepatica eggs were obtained from the liver and gall bladders of naturally infected sheep and kept at 4˚C until use. Ethanol extract of Lippia citriodora kunth was provided from dried leaves. The eggs were exposed to Different concentration of extract. Concentrations of Lippia citriodora extract (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 75 and 100%). Control group eggs were placed in chlorine-free water. Egg and embryo development stages to complete and release miracidia were examined every day. Ethical considerations: This study was conducted after receiving the code of ethics (93-175-13) from the University Research Council.
Results: In concentration of 10 percent Lippia citriodora, miracidia was formed after 16 days in the egg. With increasing of concentration percentage of the extract, time of miracidia formation in eggs also rose. The time of miracidia formation between cases and control group is significantly different (P < 0.05).
Conclusions: Our study shows that extract of Lippia citriodora is an effective inhibiting factor against development of Fasciola eggs.

Abstract
Introduction: Today, disabled sports have become one of the most important categories in the world of sports. In the meantime, exercising the blind and visually impaired is essential. Therefore, the present study aimed to examine the effect of clothing weight on the range of lower limb muscle activities during the execution of archery skills in blind people.
Methods: The current research is semi-experimental and laboratory-type. The statistical sample of the present study included 30 blind boys from Ardabil City who were selected purposefully and voluntarily. The subjects were randomly divided into two groups. The shooting target was placed at a distance of 10 meters from the subject. A two-way analysis of variance and a t-test at a significance level of 0.05 were used for statistical analysis of the data.
Results: According to the obtained results, the effect of the time factor on the electrical activity of the vastus medialis muscle when releasing the bowstring was statistically significant. The impact of the group factor on the electrical activity of the tibialis anterior muscle when releasing the bowstring had a statistically significant difference. Also, the effect of the group factor when taking the bow in the rectus femoris muscle and biceps muscle had a statistically significant difference.
Conclusions: Finally, according to all the obtained results, it can be said that probably using shooting clothes by affecting the electrical activity of the muscles of the lower limbs can improve balance during shooting, which can be one of the influential reasons, and become efficient in the success of archers.

Abstract
Introduction: Gestational diabetes is defined as hyperglycemia with onset or first diagnosis during pregnancy, with a lower frequency than general diabetes. Overweight and obesity, old age at the time of pregnancy, previous history of gestational diabetes, family history of type 2 diabetes, and race are risk factors for gestational diabetes. Recently, the relationship between two polymorphisms (rs9939609 and rs1421085) of Fat mass and obesity-associated (FTO) gene and the risk of gestational diabetes has been investigated in some studies with conflicting results. Therefore, our aim of the present study was to investigate the association study of rs1421085 and rs9939609 of the FTO gene on gestational diabetes.
Methods: In this case-control study, five cc of peripheral blood was collected from 100 cases with gestational diabetes and 116 control pregnant women from Taleghani Hospital in Arak, and then DNA was extracted. After designing the specific primers, the genotypes were determined by the Tetra ARMS-PCR method. Demographic information was compared with genotypes between the two groups were compared using SNPSTAT software.
Results: A significant correlation was observed between obesity, BMI before and during pregnancy, HbA1c, FBS, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels among mothers with gestational diabetes compared to healthy pregnant mothers P = 0.0001. According to data analysis, there was no significant association between rs1421085 and rs9939609 of the FTO gene with gestational diabetes.
Conclusions: Considering the conflicting results between the association of FTO gene polymorphisms with gestational diabetes, to better identify and understand the pathogenesis of the disease, more studies with a higher number of samples and more racial groups are needed. In the future, identifying the profile and locations of genetic susceptibility to gestational diabetes can be used in the patient's management.

Abstract
Introduction: Type 2 diabetes is a non-communicable disease that imposes a significant financial burden on the healthcare system each year. Numerous studies have demonstrated the involvement of inflammatory factors in the initiation and progression of this condition. The primary goal of this study is to compare the polymorphism of the interleukin 1 receptor antagonist gene among individuals with type 2 diabetes and those in the control group.
Methods: Following approval from the Ethics Committee of Gonabad University of Medical Sciences, blood samples were collected from 100 participants at Bohlool Hospital in Gonabad. These individuals were categorized into two groups: cases (individuals with type 2 diabetes) and controls (healthy individuals). DNA extraction was carried out using the salting out method. To examine the polymorphism, the specific segment was initially amplified through PCR with designated primers and then identified via gel electrophoresis. The data were analyzed using subjected to the Chi-square test at a significance level below 5%.
Results: Findings from the polymorphism analysis revealed a notable contrast in the genotype 2/1 (P = 0.001) and 2/2 (P = 0.004) within the case group when compared to the healthy participants. Specifically, individuals with genotype 2/1 exhibited a heightened risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 15 times.
Conclusions: Within the examined population, the polymorphism of the interleukin 1 receptor antagonist gene substantially influenced the predisposition to type 2 diabetes, amplifying the likelihood of developing this ailment. Individuals harboring allele 2 are at an increased susceptibility to type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
Introduction: Harmine is an alkaloid from the carboline family, belonging to the harmal plant, which has extensive applications in traditional medicine, with numerous studies highlighting its anti-cancer effects. Since biological processes are influenced by electromagnetic fields, the current study examined the anti-cancer effects of harmine and low-frequency electromagnetic fields on the expression of COX2, VEGF, and MMP-2 genes in the A2780 cell line.
Methods: In this experimental-laboratory study, ovarian cancer cell lines were randomly divided into four groups: control, harmine at concentrations of 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, and 192 micromolar, low-frequency electromagnetic field with an intensity of 50 Gauss, and harmine at a concentration of 48 micromolar with a low-frequency electromagnetic field of 50 Gauss intensity. Their toxicity was assessed using the MTT assay, nuclear morphological changes by DAPI staining, apoptotic effects of these compounds by measuring nitric oxide (NO), and gene expression changes by Real-Time PCR. Quantitative data were analyzed the ANOVA statistical test at a P < 0.05 level.
Results: Quantitative data comparison of this research indicated that harmine and a low-frequency electromagnetic field with an intensity of 50 Gauss caused a concentration-dependent reduction in the viability of ovarian cancer cells. Additionally, in the nitric oxide test, a significant decrease was found in the control group compared to the groups treated with a concentration of 48 micromolar and synergized with a 50 Gauss electromagnetic field (p<0.05). The expression of the aforementioned genes in treated cells showed a significant decrease. Treating ovarian cancer cells with harmine and its combined application led to significant nuclear morphological changes, including chromatin condensation, formation of apoptotic bodies, and wrinkling of the cell membrane.
Conclusions: The combined application of harmine and a low-frequency electromagnetic field induced apoptosis in A2780 cancer cells and resulted in the downregulation of COX2, VEGF-A, and MMP-2 gene expression. Consequently, the combined use of harmine with a low-frequency electromagnetic field, due to its effective cytotoxicity in inhibiting proliferation and inducing apoptosis, could be a suitable candidate for clinical studies.

Abstract
Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and the principal cause of death in women. One of the mechanisms of cancer cells for the lack of access to the immune system is the production of compounds suppressing immune responses, such as interleukin-10. On the other hand, vascular endothelial growth factor, by binding to its receptors on the surface of endothelial cells, plays a significant role in vascular permeability and tumor vascularity. In this study, the expression of interleukin-10 and vascular endothelial growth factor in breast tumor tissue was investigated in an experimental tumor model.
Methods: First, mammary tumors were experimentally induced in Balb/C mice, and RNA was extracted from the tumor tissue. cDNA was synthesized from the extracted RNAs, and the expression level of 10-IL and VEGF genes was evaluated by RT-PCR.
Results: The results of data analysis showed that the expression of IL-10 and VEGF genes in the tumor tissue was higher than in the cells of the control group, but this increase in expression was not statistically significant.
Conclusions: In general, the expression level of Interleukin-10 and VEGF genes was increased in the experimental tumor model, but broader research and the correlation with other involved factors seem necessary.

Abstract
Introduction: Glyphosate is the most popular broad-spectrum herbicide globally due to the growing demand for glyphosate-resistant crops. Glyphosate exhibits harmful properties, including cytotoxicity, neurotoxicity, and reproductive toxicity. This study aimed to investigate the detrimental effects of glyphosate on ovarian histopathology in mice and the in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes following superovulation.
Methods: In this study, thirty-two female NMRI mice were randomly divided into the following groups: control, glyphosate, superovulation, and superovulation-glyphosate. Animals received glyphosate (0.5%) continuously through drinking water for three weeks. HMG and HCG were used to induce superovulation. Oocytes were collected from the ampulla, and the quantity and quality of oocytes were analyzed. Then, in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes was performed. At the end of the study, ovarian histopathology was analyzed.
Results: Compared to the control group, the glyphosate-treated group exhibited a significant decrease in secondary and Graafian follicles while demonstrating a concomitant increase in atretic follicles (P < 0.05). Additionally, the superovulation-glyphosate group showed fewer germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) and MII oocytes than the superovulation group. In the superovulation-glyphosate group, there was a notable reduction in GVBD and MII oocytes following in vitro maturation (IVM).
Conclusions: Glyphosate has the potential to damage ovarian tissue and adversely affect IVM and oogenesis.

Abstract
Introduction: Dermatoglyphic is a science that study the lines in the skin of the palms and fingertips properly. In some studies, the relationship between dermatoglyphic patterns with some diseases has been proven Arthritis Rheumatoid is a chronic inflammatory disease with autoimmune pathogenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of dermatoglyphics in people with rheumatoid arthritis compared to the control group.
Methods: This case-control study was conducted on 50 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 50 people in the control group living in Mashhad. The fingerprint was recorded by the scanner. The distribution of the frequency of fingerprint patterns, including Arch, Loop and Whorl, along with the counting of fingerprint lines in both groups was investigated. Finally, the obtained data were analyzed using ANOVA and X2 tests.
Results: According to the results, the maximum frequency of dermatoglyphic patterns in both hands was related to the ulnar loop type. After that, in the patient group, simple Whorl patterns and double Whorl patterns and in the healthy group, double Whorl patterns and simple Whorl patterns were the most frequent. Between the average finger ridge count in the right hand of healthy people with the right hand of patient’s people and the left hand of healthy people with the left hand of patient’s people showed a significant difference in the error level of 0.05.
Conclusions: It seems that this difference can be used as a biological diagnostic marker to screen people prone to rheumatoid arthritis. This information in prognosis of psychological, medical and therapeutic plans, issues related to anthropology and social sciences can also be useful.

Abstract
Introduction: Nowadays, plant-derived compound is widely used in medical treatment as complementary therapies. Rosemary is one of these plants that have anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor effects. However, low solubility and low bioavailability lead to limited use of this compound. To overcome this limitation, the use of liposomes is beneficial. So, this study aimed to prepare liposomes containing rosemary alcoholic extract to obtain the best formulation with best properties to use in the antitumor study.
Methods: Liposomes were prepared by Thin-Film-Hydration method in different ratios of rosemary extract, hydrogenated-soybean-phosphatidylcholine (HSPC), Cholesterol, and mPEG2000 (F1-F6). The characterization of nanoliposomes includes size, PDI (Poly dispersity index), zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, and release rate was measured.
Results: The results showed that the average particle size and zeta potential were 113.4 nm and -10.8 mV, respectively. Encapsulation efficiency showed a range of 60- 90%. The average release rate of the extract was about 60%. Also, the results showed that the F1 formulation was transparent, had appropriate properties, and did not precipitate. F2 formulation was not transparent. F3-F4 formulations were precipitated, and F5-F6 formulations did not achieve the appropriate size.
Conclusions: This study proved that F1 formulation in a ratio of 55:30:5 HSPC/chol/mPEG2000 is the best formulation for the preparation of nanoliposomes containing rosemary alcoholic extract to achieve the best properties for use in cancer studies.
