Abstract
Introduction: Brucellosis is one of the most important zoonotic diseases that causes miscarriage and infertility in animals and causes human fever. The use of the common SS9 strain of Brucella abortus has several side effects for livestock. Brucella P39 protein is one of the plasma peripheral space proteins that is considered as one of the important immunogenic indicators. With the production of the new protein combination of P39, more studies can be done on the ability of this protein to stimulate immune responses against Brucella. Therefore, in this research, the production and purification of this protein in Escherichia coli bacteria has been done as a new compound.
method: In this experimental study, using the polymerase chain reaction, the P39 gene was propagated by the bacterium Brucella abortus. After purifying the P39 gene, it was cloned into plasmid carriers pSK+ and pGEX4T1. Therefore, pSK+-P39 and pGEX4T1-P39 structures were prepared. To produce the recombinant protein P39, the plasmid structure pGEX4T1-P39 first entered the Escherichia coli bacterium BL21. The protein was then produced by IPTG by induction of pGEX4T1-P39 plasmid. The resulting protein was purified using the orderly purification protein glutathione S-transferase. The amount of purified protein was measured using the Brad Ford method.
Results: The nucleotide sequence of the gene propagated by the cloned PCR in the plasmid carrier pSK+ was exactly the same as the P39 gene of Brucella abortus. Production of P39 protein was performed by induction of pGEX4T1-P39 plasmid. The purified protein content was 200 micrograms per milliliter.
Conclusion: The production of the new protein P39 compound Brucella Abortus, which is unstable in the cytoplasm of the Escherichia coli bacterium, is possible using carriers with additive proteins such as pGEX4T1 in the host of Escherichia coli strain BL21.

Abstract
Introduction: Allium Sativum (garlic) is used widely in the world, especially in Iran. This plant is used in cooking foods as an odorant. In Iran it is believed that it is useful for gastrointestinal disorders. So in this study the effect of Allium Sativum extract on acid and pepsin secretion in rat is investigated. Materials and Methods: This experimental study is performed on two groups of rats (12 in each group: control group and allium sativum group). After anesthesia with nesdonal (50 mg/kg, ip), rats had gone under surgical tracheotomy, laparatomy and gasterodeodenostomy. In garlic group Allium Sativum extract (100mg/kg) was introduced into the stomach by gasterodeodenostomy canula. In order to stimulation of acid and pepsin secretion, Pentagastrin was used (25mcg/kg, ip). Stomach secretion was washed out and acid was measured using titerimetery and pepsin using Anson method. Data was analyzed using t-test. Results: Allium Sativum caused a meaningful increase in acid and pepsin secretion in garlic group comparing to control group (p<0.001). Pentagastrin also increased acid and pepsin secretion in control group (p<0.001). Conclusion: Using garlic in nutritional regimen causes an increase in acid and pepsin secretion in those using this plant.

Abstract
Background: Maternal diabetes is associated with an increased risk of several complications in the offspring, such as the growth of congenital disturbances and malformations. In the present study, we examined the effects of maternal hyperglycemia on the volume of brain and lateral ventricle in newborn Wistar rats. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, on the 7th day of pregnancy, hyperglycemia was induced by a single injection (i.p.) of streptozotocin (55 mg kg-1) and the animals in control group were given an equal volume of citrate buffer. After parturition on the first day of birth, a litter was randomly selected from each mother, their brains dissected and fixed in 10% formalin. Then they were sectioned with 7μm thickness and stained by H.E. Through the use of stereological techniques and systematic random sampling scheme, the volume of the brain and lateral ventricles were estimated. Results: Statistical analyses showed significant increases (p<0.05) in the volume of the brains and lateral ventricles in the experiment group in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: By affecting blood brain barrier permeability in newborn rats, maternal diabetes can generate a large amount of CSF. These effects can bring about brain disorders such as hydrocephalus.

Abstract
Background: The aim of the present study was to determine the response of lung function indices to aerobic and anaerobic exercises in polluted air. Materials and Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 20 healthy men were randomly divided into two equal groups experiment and control. The experiment group initially had one session of aerobic exercise and after a three-week break, received one session of anaerobic exercise on ergometer bicycle in polluted air. The control group did the same kind of exercise in healthy clean air. Lung function tests were run before, right after (the first post-test), and 24 hours after the exercises (the second post-test). Results: Aerobic exercise in unhealthy polluted air resulted in the significant reduction of FEV1, FVC, and FEF25-75% indices in the first and second post-tests. Following anaerobic exercises in polluted air, a significant decrease was observed in FVC and FEF25-75% indices in both the first and second post-tests. FEV1 and FEF25-75% indices in the first and second post-tests, and FEV1 and FVC indexes in the second post-tests underwent a remarkably greater reduction following aerobic exercise. Conclusion: While aerobic physical exercise in polluted air caused a reduction in the lung function indices (FEV1, FVC and FEF25-75%) in the first and second post-tests, it seemed that anaerobic exercises in polluted air induced a significantly smaller reduction in FEV1 and FEF25-75% in the first and second post tests, and FEV1/FVC in the second post test.

Abstract
Background: Candida species are among the most important factors in development of fungal infection in human beings and animals. Noticing the daily increase of drug resistance, attempts should be made for providing anti-fungal and anti-microbial drugs. Hence, this study was conducted to investigate the in-vitro effects of Scrophularia deserti ethanolic extract and amphotricin B on Candida albicans. Materials and Methods: In an experimental trial, anti-Candida effects of Scrophularia deserti ethanolic extract and amphotricin B on Candida albicans were evaluated using serial dilution method. Data analysis was done using SPSS, through paired and independent t-tests. Results: Minimum inhibition capacity (MIC) of Scrophularia deserti extract on Candida albicans in the first and second trials were OD600=1.56(59%) and OD600=1.68(59%), respectively, whereas this value for amphotricin B was 59%. The difference between minimum growth inhibition capacity of Scrophularia deserti and amphotricin B was not significant. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated that ethanolic extract of Scrophularia deserti has anti-fungal properties comparable to amphotricin B.

Abstract
Background: Adiponectin is a protein which is initially secreted exclusively by adipocytes but its secretion decreases in obese and overweight individuals. With its anti-inflammatory properties, adiponectin acts as an agent which can decrease the risk of type II diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to determine adiponectin serum levels in type II diabetic men and explore its relationship with insulin resistance following aerobic exercise.
Materials and Methods: In this semi- experimental study, 30 men with type II diabetes were randomly assigned to training and control groups. The training group went through an 8-week training program which consisted of three 40-50 minute aerobic exercise sessions a week (running on treadmill at intensities corresponding to 30to 75% of maximal heart rate (35-75% HR max)). For measuring adiponectin and insulin serum levels, blood samples were obtained through ELISA technique in 2 stages, weeks zero and eight. For determining insulin resistance, insulin resistance index was utilized. In order to evaluate the results, dependent and independent t-tests and Pearson correlation coefficient were used.
Results: The results did not indicate the presence of a significant relationship between adiponectin and insulin resistance following training (P=0, r=-0.14). In comparison with the control group, training induced a 39% decrease in adiponectin serum levels, a 10% decrease in BMI and bodyweight, and a 48% decrease in insulin resistance (P>0.001)
Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that in response to the 8-week aerobic training program, adiponectin serum levels significantly increased while insulin resistance got decreased. In addition, there was not a significant relationship between adiponectin serum level changes following training and insulin resistance index.

Abstract
Background: Reports on microsporidia infections are increasing and some species, such as Enterocytozoon bieneusi and Encephalitozoon intestinalis, have become important causes of chronic malabsorptive diarrhea, especially in HIV infected patients. In this study, Modified Trichrome-Blue (MTS) and Acid-Fast Trichrome (AFT) staining methods as well as PCR technique were used for detecting microsporidia in stool specimens. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, a total of 71 stool specimens from AIDS patients with chronic diarrhea were collected and sent to laboratory. Two slides were prepared for each stool specimen. The slides were fixed with methanol, stained with MTS and AFT stain, and read by at least three individuals. In addition, PCR with primers directed to a conserved region of the 16s rRNA of intestinal microsporidian spores was used. Results: Totally of 71 patients, 13 patients (18.30%) were positive for microsporidia by MTS and AFT stain methods. In addition, 9 patients (12.67%) were positive for cryptosporidium by AFT stain and 4 (5.63%) of them were positive for microsporidia. Furthermore, 16 patients (22.53%) were positive for intestinal microsporidiosis by PCR technique. Notably, all cases that were positive for microsporidia by staining methods were also positive for PCR technique as well Conclusion: PCR technique was more sensitive than staining methods. Also, MTS and AFT stain methods were equally useful in the diagnosis of microsporidiosis.

Abstract
Background: Psoriasis is a common chronic skin disease which usually appears as white and silvery spots on the skin. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of berberine on patients with psoriasis. Materials and Methods: This double-blind clinical trial was conducted on 60 psoriasis patients who referred to Imam Khomeini Hospital, Ahvaz, between July and December 2011. The patients were randomly divided into two equal groups that applied berberine and placebo to the treatment of their lesions twice a day. Lesions severity rate in the patients was assessed 7 times using a Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI). Data were analyzed by ANOVA with repeated measurements and Chi-square using SPSS software. Results: After 6 months, severity of lesions showed a significant decrease in the group receiving the berberine cream compared with the placebo group so that the mean PASI score of the group receiving berberine decreased from 3.99 to 2.11 while in the placebo group this decreased from 3.98 to 3.71. Mean difference in PASI score was not significant before receiving the treatment till the third month in berberine and placebo groups, but in the fourth to sixth months it was statistically significant (p=0.013). Conclusion: Berberine cream was more effective than the placebo in reduction of skin lesions of psoriasis patients. Therefore, it is recommended that plant-based drugs, like berberine, be used more besides the main medications of patients.

Abstract
Background: Atrazine is an herbicide used widely by farmers in controlling weeds. The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the effect of atrazine, as an herbicide, on sperm quality, sperm DNA damage, invitrofertilization (IVF), and embryonic development in mature male rats. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 42 mature male Wistar rats weighing 170±5g were divided into three groups, including one control and two treatment groups. The rats in the control group were administered corn oil (0.2 ml/day) and the rats in the test groups were orally gavaged with atrazine 150mg/kg (high dose) and 75mg/kg (low dose) body weight daily for a total of 45 days. Epidydimis tail was cut and placed in 1 ml of human tubular fluid (HTF) medium for 30 minutes in an atmosphere of 5% CO2 in air at 370C. The sperms were analyzed for sperm count, sperm viability, motility, DNA damage, immature sperm, and in vitro fertilization. Data were analyzed by One-Way ANOVA. Results: In this study, atrazine provoked a significant decrease (P<0.05) in sperm number, sperm viability, and sperm motility. The data suggest that the atrazine had a negative impact on sperm maturation and DNA integrity in a time-dependent manner, which consequently caused a significantly remarkable reduction in IVF ability (P<0.05). Conclusion: Atrazine is capable of inducing DNA damage and chromatin abnormalities of spermatozoa which can contribute to a low fertilization rate.

Abstract
Background: There have been reports showing the protective role of inducible Heat-shock protein (HSP) 70 in gastric epithelial cells. HSP70-2 gene is located in the class-III region of the MHC on the short arm of chromosome 6. The HSP70-2 gene has a pst1 site due to an A to G transition at the 1267 position and different genotypes of the HSP70-2 gene have been shown to be associated with a different level of HSP70 mRNA expression. This study was performed to investigate relations between polymorphism of the HSP70-2 gene and risk of peptic ulcer diseases.
Materials and Methods: In this descriptive analytical study, the studied population comprised 100 subjects, attending the Endoscopy Center of Hafez Hospital in Shiraz on 2012. All subjects underwent upper gastroscopy. Genomic DNA was extracted from bioptic tissues. Genotypes were determined in patients and controls using PCR-RFLP.
Results: In the non-ulcer subjects, the HSP70-2 genotype distribution was 20 AA (40%), 26 AG (52%), and 4 GG (8%). Meanwhile, the HSP70-2 genotype distribution in peptic ulcer patients were 5 AA (10%), 44 AG (88%) and 1 GG (2%). The results showed that 1267G/A HSP70-2 Gene polymorphism is associated with peptic ulcer.
Conclusion: It appears that polymorphism of HSP70-2 gene is associated with the susceptibility to peptic ulcer diseases. The analysis showed that the AG genotype increased the risk of peptic ulcer (OR=6.76, 95%CI=2.26-20.20, p=0.0006).

Abstract
Background: Nowadays, the decline in birth rate is one of the most important social problems in developing societies. Infertility is defined as a failure to conceive in a couple trying to reproduce after one year of regular intercourse without contraception. Leptin have been implicated in maintaining normal female reproductive functions, including lactation, folliculogenesis, ovarian steroidogenesis, the maintenance of mammary gland morphology, the development of dominant follicles and oocytes, the maturation of the uterus endometrium, and menstrual cycle regulation. Sinyle-nucleotide polymorphism T>C found in exon 3 leads to substitution of Arg>Trp at codon 1.5 (R105W). In this case-control study, we aimed to evaluate the association of this polymorphism and the risk of female infertility in the population of Guilan.
Materials and Methods: Blood Samples were collected from 86 patients diagnosed with female infertility and 60 control subjects, and genotyped by allele-specific PCR (AS-PCR). To estimate the association between genotype and allele frequencies in cases and controls, Chi-Square analysis was used.
Results: Analysis revealed no significant differences were found in genotype and allele distributions of LEP Arg105Trp between infertility cases and controls (p=0.21, p=0.2) in this population.
Conclusion: Our findings indicated no significant association between the Arg105Trp polymorphism and female infertility risk (p=0.21). While, more studies are needed to confirm the results.

Abstract
Background: Reducing the duration of the effect of sedatives and increasing their quality is one of the tasks of ICU staff. The aim of this study is to compare the sedative effects of these medications on neurosurgery patients under mechanical ventilation.
Materials and Methods: In this double-blind clinical trial, 70 patients requiring mechanical ventilation in neurosurgery ICU were enrolled. Patients were randomly assigned to one of remifentanil or fentanyl groups. The first group received 0.05 µg/kg/min remifentanil and the second group received 1 µg/kg/hr fentanyl infusion for sedation and analgesia in the first 24 hours. Sedation score, Minogue scale and hemodynamic parameters were evaluated throughout the study and at regular intervals.
Results: There was no significant statistical difference in demographic variables such as age, sex, and body weight between two groups. The results of this study showed a significant difference in sedation score (p=0.0001) and Minogue scale (p=0.0001) and both variables were lower in remifentanil group. Also, heart rate (p=0.011) and mean arterial blood pressure (p=0.007) were significantly higher in fentanyl group.
Conclusion: Generally, sedative effect of remifentanil has several relative advantages over older medication of fentanyl and causes more effective sedation and better control of hemodynamic parameters in patients under mechanical ventilation.

Abstract
Background: The study on rats showed that some of cytokines and proteins which were produced by macrophages and other cells, plays a critical role in regulating of ABCA1 expression. But, in this area, the study in human subjects, especially subsequent physical activity has not performed. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between lymphocytic ABCA1 protein with IL-10 and TNF-α cyrokines subsequent eight weeks interval combined exercise training (ICET) among overweight and obese boy adolescents.
Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental study, 28 students (16.93±1.89 yr, 88.07±9.98 kg and 28.35±2.55 kg/m²) were randomly selected and assigned into training (n=13) and control (n=15) groups. Exercise protocol was ICET (8WK, 4 d/wk, 70 min/d).Cell hemolysis and sensitive Elisa method was used for evaluating ABAC1 protein T-student tests and Pearson correlation were used to analyze the data.
Results: The survey changes of post to pre-test of ABCA1, IL-10 and TNF-α showed that there was a positive significant correlation between lymphocytic ABCA1 protein with IL-10 (r=0.43, p=0.032) and a negative significant correlation with TNF-α (r=-0.53, p=0.012) (p<0.01) after eight weeks training. Also, after exercise, ABCA1 level was significantly increased but the levels of in creased IL10 and decreased TNF-α were not significant.
Conclusion: Due to the increased lymphocytic ABCA1 protein concentration and the correlation between variables following training, the results prove that TNF-α and IL-10 may have negative and positive regulatory effects on lymphocytic ABCA1 protein expression, respectively.

Abstract
Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a common disease in human societies that dealing with its complications imposes enormous cost to the health system. The previous studies have shown that bone biochemical markers can be used for evaluation of bone metabolism in response to physical activity. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of increasing 10-week aerobic exercise (AE) on serum osteocalcin, PTH and glycemic and anthropometric indices in postmenopausal women with type II diabetes.
Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental study, 40 postmenopausal women with type II diabetes (40-60 years) as available subjects were selected and randomly assigned into two exercise (20) and control (20) groups. Exercise protocol was AE and walking activity for 10 weeks (3d/wk, 45 to 60 min/d with 45% to 60% HRRmax intensity). Blood samples were taken before and after exercise to measure serum variables. Data were analyzed by T-test and statistical significance criterion was set as p<0.05.
Results: AE makes a significant increase in osteocalcin levels and a decrease in insulin resistance index, insulin and fasting blood glucose in the experimental group (p<0.05). Changes in other variables such as PTH, HbA1c and anthropometric indices were not significant (p>0.05).
Conclusion: Due to the favorable effects of AE on osteocalcin and glycemic indices, it seems that this training method can be recommended as a non-invasive treatment for maintaining bone density and controlling blood glucose in diabetic patients.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The eNOS gene that is responsible for the production of nitric oxide and angiostatin is an inhibitor of angiogenesis. The aim of present study was to investigate the effect of endurance training on angiostatin and eNOS gene expression of cardiac tissue in type 2 diabetic male wistar rats.
Materials and Methods: In an experimental study, 36 male wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups, Diabetic Endurance Training (DET, n=12), Diabetic Control (DC, n=12) and Healthy Control (HC, n=12). Type 2 diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection of STZ. The endurance training included 10 weeks, 5 sessions per week running at speed of 27 m/min for 15 minutes in 1st week and reached to 27 m/min for 60 min/day in 9th weeks. The animals were sacrificed 24 h after last training session and the samples were taken from cardiac tissue. The gene expression of angiostatin and eNOS were examined by Real-Time PCR. The one-way ANOVA was used to analysis the data. The significant level was set at p<0.05.
Ethical Considerations: This study was approved in Research Ethics Committee of Arak university of medical sciences with the code IR.ARAKMU.REC.1394.329.
Findings: The gene expression of angiostatin and eNOS of DC group showed significant increase compared to HC group (p =0.000). The endurance training induced significant decrease in the gene expression of angiostatin and eNOS compared to DC group (p =0.000).
Conclusion: It appears that gene expression of angiostatin and eNOS of diabetic cardiac tissue are affected by positive effect of endurance training.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Diabetes is a chronic disease that physiological, cognitive, behavioral, emotional and social factors play a role in preventing, risk and regulating it. This research aimed to predict blood glucose control by the use of irrational health beliefs and health locus of control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Materials and Methods: The research population consisted of all type 2 diabetic patients referring to the two centers of Alzahra School of Charity Hospital and Diabetes Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences that 300 patients were chosen as sample by convenience sampling method. Data were gathered by using Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Scale (MHLC) and Irrational Health Belief Scale (IHBS) and analyzed by regression.
Ethical Considerations: This study was approved in Research Ethics Committee of biomedical researches in Tehran Universiry with the code IR.ut.Rec.1395.030.
Findings: There is a significant correlation between the predictive variables of irrational health beliefs (p <0.05), inner locus of control and others (p <0.05), and chance locus of control (p <0.01). The results also indicate that the health locus of control and Irrational beliefs predict significantly the changes in the amount of glucose (R=19, R2=0.037, F(4. 293)=2.80, p<0.05).
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, we can say that by identifying the health locus of control and irrational health beliefs, it is possible that blood glucose level can be predicted in patients with type 2 diabetes and reduced the consequences of diabetes in people with it. |

Abstract
Background and Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between stress coping strategies and difficulties in emotion regulation mediated by marital life quality in married women with breast cancer.
Methods & Materials: This is a descriptive correlational study. The study population included all married women with breast cancer in Amol and Babol cities of Iran in 2018. Of these, 385 were selected through a convenience sampling technique. The research instruments were Ways Of Coping Questionnaire, Difficulties In Emotion Regulation Scale and Marital Life Quality Scale. The goodness-of-fit of proposed model was examined by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in LISREL software. The indirect correlations were tested by using Preacher and Hayes’ bootstrapping method .
Ethical Considerations: This study received its ethical approval from Islamic Azad University of Tonekabon Branch (Code: IR.IAU.TON.REC.1397.029). Informed consent was obtained from all participants.
Results: The proposed model had good fit (RMSEA=0.057). All direct correlations were reported significant (P<0.05). Moreover, indirect paths between stress coping strategies and difficulties in emotion regulation through mediation by marital life quality were significant.
Conclusion: The proposed model had a good fit and can be used in identifying the factors affecting difficulties in emotion regulation. It can be useful for designing and developing programs to prevent emotions problems in women with breast cancer.

Abstract

Abstract
Introduction: Dentists are at high risk for COVID19 disease and spreading it to colleagues, families and patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate COVID 19 epidemic anxiety among students and dental assistants of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: In this descriptive-Analytic cross-sectional study, 142 dental students who were willing to participate the study were surveyed. Data collection tools was included a demographic and Corona Disease Anxiety Scale (CDAS) questionnaire. After collecting information, each participant's anxiety score was measured from zero to 54. These raw scores were converted to standard T scores for comparability with other studies, and according to the scope of standard T studies, participants in one of three groups of no anxiety or mild (T≤ 39), moderate (60 ≤ T ≤ 40), And severe anxiety (T≥61), and then the data were analyzed with SPSS23 statistical software. Ethical code of this study is IR.QUMS.REC.1399.224 in Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.
Results: According to the results, the level of anxiety was higher in older age groups, among men against women, and among married against single people, respectively. Also, the level of anxiety caused by Coronaviruses pandemic was higher in undergraduate against postgraduate students. However, difference was not statistically significant (P <0.05).
Conclusions: Based on the study, it can be stated that the level of coronaviruses anxiety in dental students is mild. In these situation, measures to maintain the psychological health of students should be a necessity of the planning of the directors and professors of the dental school.
