Abstract
Neissaria gonorrhoeae is the causative agent of gonorrhoeae. Culture and antibiogram for this bacteria in clinical n laboratory in not usuall. In the present research 50 gonorrhoeae isolated from 287 exodate patients 14 isolate were sensitive a and 4 isolates were intermediate and 32 out of 50 isolate were resistant to penicillin and 25 of these 32 isolate were resistant due to b-lactamase activity and 4 of thses due to chromosomal resistance. 26% of isolates also were resistant to spectinomycin but all of the isolates were sensitive to ciprofloxacin. Only 2% of isolates were resistant to ceftriaxone. So nowdays penicillin is not indicated for therapy of gonorrhoeae. Spectinomycin is a drug must be administrated with precaution and follow up of patient is necessary. Ceftriaxone and ciprofloxacin are effective drugs that we can use them for resistant strains.

Abstract
Introduction: Epilepsy is one of the most common afflictions of human. The amygdala is one of the most sensitive epilepsy induction areas. This area has been the focus of interest, in large part due to its role in fear conditioning. It seems that any abnormality in the neuronal network in amygdala can increase the susceptibility of animal to seizure. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between avoidance learning and kindeling susceptibility in rats.
Materials and Methods: In an experimental study, 20 Wistar male rats were trained for two way active avoidance learning in the shuttle box, and on the basis of escape response were divided into fast and slow learning animals. The rats were administered Pentylenetetrazole for induction of kindeling. Then seizure stages were noted. Data was analyzed using one way ANOVA and Tukey's test.
Results: Results of the present study demonstrated that slow learning animals comparing to fast learnings were more prone to kindeling and there was a significant difference in the seizure stage and stage 2 latency in the two groups.
Conclusion: On the basis of the present data it is possible to predict the predisposing of male rats to kindeling from the rate of fear conditioning that indicates the abnormality in amygdala neuronal circuits

Abstract
Introduction: Studies showed that following spontaneous epilepsy in rats, the permeability of CA1 region of Hypocampus to calcium is increased. In this study the role of voltage dependent calcium channels on the development of kindling induced by Pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) was investigated in rats.
Materials and Methods: In this experimental study rats were divided into two groups. In the test group, Verapamil (calcium channel blocker) was injected in the Hippocampus (4 g/4 min). After 20 minutes kindling was established by PTZ in subconvulsive dose (37.5 mg/kg ip). Convulsing activities were monitored for 20 min. The control group was the same age and undergone the same procedure exept for the injection, in which ACSF was injected without Verapamil.
Results: Verapamil significantly (p<0.01) reduced the number of needed stimulations to progress from stage 0 to 5 of the convulsion and also significantly (p<0.05) prolonged the fifth stage of seizure.
Conclusion: The results of this study suggested that interahippcampal injection of Verapamil facilitated the Pentylenetetrazol kindling in rats but had inhibitory effects on kindled animals.

Abstract
Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, human leukocyte antigens
Introduction: Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) or type 1 diabetes is created by autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas in genetically susceptible individuals. The relationship between human leukocyte antigens (HLA) associated factors and susceptibility to IDDM disease, was reported by several investigators. Association with different HLA types depends also on the studied populations. The aim of the present study was to determine HLA antigens which represent a high susceptibility to develop the IDDM disease in this area. Materials and Methods: In this study, the prevalence of HLA class-I and II antigens has been determined in 31 Arakian patients with IDDM and 57 normal healthy controls with similar ethnic background and from the same geographical area. The typing of HLA antigens was carried out using standard microlymphocytotoxicity method. Results: A significantly higher frequency of HLA-A2, A3, B21, DR3 and DQ2 were found in IDDM cases compared to the controls. In contrast, HLA-DR2, DR7 and B53 were represented at a somewhat higher frequency in controls compared to the IDDM patients. Conclusion: These results indicate that HLA-A2, A3, B21, DR3 and DQ2 antigens contribute to susceptibility to IDDM independently and HLA-DR2, DR7 and B53 antigens maybe associated with prevention of IDDM in Arakian patients.

Abstract
Background: In molecular diagnosis of microbial agent, purification of chromosome is very important step. In this study, after cell destruction, DNA replication was done by increasing the denaturation time, without DNA purification.
Methods and Materials: In this experimental study eight different dilution of E.coli (8/100, 4/100, 2/100, 1/100, 1/200, 1/400, 1/800 and 1/1600) solution were madce in D.W, Bacteria were separated by filtration. Polymerase chain reaction method was used to propagate 162 rRNA gene by design primers without DNA Purification. In order to confirme sensitivity of PCR, contamination of 15 different sources of Arak well water wafer was compared by MPN method. For confirmed sensitivity of PCR, 15 sources of water in Arak were examined and compared with MPN method.
Results: Present of bacteria in diution sou tion were confirmed by culture. Polymerale Chain reaction (PCR) data were shown this method is able to recognize bacteria in above dilutions after filtration. This study showed high sensitivity of PCR method in compare to MPN method.
Conclusion: Results were shown without stages of extraction of DNA, PCR were done without losing chromosome. Therefore false negative results were decrease and avoided from difficult phases.

Abstract
Background: Although the roles of steroid hormones in the activation and maintenance of reproductive function are proved well, emerging evidence indicated that these steroids influence on performance of learning and memory. These effects are complex and vary with task, gender, and age, as well as the regimens of steroid exposure. This study was carried out in order to assess the role of progesterone administration in newborns rats on Morris water maze learning ability after adolescence.
Methods and Materials : This experimental study was carried out on 36 newborns Wistar rats. Rats were divided randomly into 6 groups female progesterone, male progesterone, female sesamoide, male sesamoid rats and male and female control rats. Progesterone groups were treated with a single injection of progesterone (100 mg/kg) and sesamoid groups were received the same volume of sesamoid oil as the progesterone vehicle in day 1 or 2 after brith, 60 days later, spatial memory ability was determined in Morris water maze.
Results : The results of this study show that water maze learning can enhance by administration of sesamoid oil in newborn female pups in compared to progesterone and control groups (p<0.05). In addition, adding progesterone to sesame oil reduce water maze learning to control level.
Conclusion: The hypothesis that progesterone impaired spatial reference memory in female rats was supported by this experiment.

Abstract
Background: Brucellosis is a highly contagious zoonotic disease between humans and animals known for high frequency of relapsing and ability to cause chronic infection. The function of immune system plays an important role in induction of chronic diseases. However, the role of immune system response is not completely studied. Therefore, this study designed to investigate the cytokine profile of the patients suffering from chronic and acute brucellosis.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive- analytical study was performed on 22 patients with acute brucellosis (mean age 38±17), 21 patients with chronic brucellosis (mean age 43±10) and 21 healthy people (mean age 26±4) with the same age and sex as patients. The serum IFN-&gamma, IL-17, IL-5 and TGF- &beta levels were measured using ELISA method.
Results: The mean IFN-&gamma serum level in acute and chronic brucellosis patients group was significantly higher than control group (p=0.045). The mean IL-17 serum level in acute brucellosis patients was significant decreased once compared with control group and in chronic patients was significantly decreased when compared with control group (p=0.024). In addition, the mean IL-5 and TGF-&beta serum levels of acute brucellosis patients group were significantly decreased as compared to chronic patients (p=0.001).
Conclusion: The results of current study indicate that cytokine profile of chronic brucellosis patients is more related to Th2 immune response. Hence, Th2 immune response inhibition would be an appropriate way to treat and prevent disease to become chronic.

Abstract
Background: Listeria monocytogenes is one of the most important causes of abortion and postpartum infection in newborns. Because of the importance of L . monocytogenes in the health of pregnant women and newborn babies, the aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of these bacteria in pregnant women and to compare the level of prevalence between women with a history of abortion and with no a history of abortion.
Materials and Methods: In this study, 540 samples of pregnant women were provided from Arak Taleghani hospital. The samples were cultured in enrichment media, then L .monocytogenesis was isolated in specific media.
Results: Of clinical samples, 14 cases had Listeria monocytogenes. Of these samples, 8 cases in women had a history of abortion, while women with no history of abortion were 6 Most cases of positive culture were related to the age of 25 to 34 years, including 7 cases, the lowest cases were 35 to 44 years old including 3 women and 4 women were between 17 and 24 years old.
Conclusion: The study showed that Listeria monocytogenes can cause infection in pregnant women. The use of Phenotypic methods and specific media can apparently isolate listeria monocytogenes from healthy pregnant women.
