مقدمه: هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی تأثیر تمرینات مبتنی بر اصول آکادمی‌ ملی طب ورزش آمریکا (National Academy of Sports Medicine ) NASM بر کینتیک راه رفتن در سندرم پیریفورمیس در مردان میان‌سال بود.
روش کار: پژوهش حاضر از نوع نیمه تجربی و آزمایشگاهی بود. نمونه آماری پژوهش حاضر، 30 مرد دارای سندرم پیریفورمیس بودند. آزمودنی‌ها به طور مساوی و تصادفی در دو گروه مداخله و کنترل جای گرفتند. گروه مداخله، به مدت هشت هفته تمرینات NASM را انجام دادند. قبل و بعد از تمرینات، متغیرهای نیروی عکس‌العمل زمین با استفاده از دستگاه صفحه نیرو برتک با نرخ نمونه‌برداری
1000 هرتز اندازه‌گیری شد. داده‌های کنتیکی با استفاده از فیلتر باترورث مرتبه چهار با برش فرکانسی 20 هرتز هموار شد. برای تجزیه تحلیل آماری از آزمون آنالیز واریانس و
T زوجی در سطح معنی‌داری 0/05 > P استفاده شد.

یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که اثر عامل زمان در مؤلفه‌های FxHC، FyHC در اوج نیروها و مؤلفه FyHC در زمان رسیدن به اوج نیروی عکس‌العمل زمین در پس‌آزمون در مقایسه با پیش‌آزمون افزایش داشتند (0/025 > P؛ 0/96 1/64 = d). اثر عامل زمان در مؤلفه FyPO در اوج نیروی عکس‌العمل زمین در پس‌آزمون در مقایسه با پیش‌آزمون کمتر بود (0/025 > P؛ 0/96 1/64 = d). اثر تعاملی زمان×گروه در مؤلفه FxPO در اوج نیرو و مؤلفه FzHC در زمان رسیدن به اوج نیروی عکس‌العمل زمین دارای اختلاف معنی‌داری بود (0/048 > P؛ 0/83 0/87 = d).
نتیجه گیری: تمرینات NASM استفاده در این پژوهش می‌تواند اثر کلینیکی و درمانی داشته باشد که سبب کاهش آسیب به اندام‌های تحتانی و بهبود کیفیت راه رفتن در افراد دارای سندرم پیرفورمیس شود.
